Hexaware Names Vivek Jetley CEO-Designate to Drive AI-Led Growth
Hexaware, an AI‑first digital and IT services firm listed on the National Stock Exchange under the ticker HEXT, has positioned itself as a provider of AI‑driven solutions, including generative AI services, AI automation, and cloud‑migration support. The decision to bring Jetley on board reflects the company’s intent to deepen its AI capabilities and expand its global footprint.
Jetley brings more than 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and enterprise transformation. He currently serves as president at EXL, where he leads the insurance, healthcare and life‑sciences verticals. In a statement, Jetley said, “We are at a defining moment for IT services, as AI adoption fundamentally changes how services are delivered, how capabilities are built and how enterprises create value. I see a tremendous opportunity not only to help our clients navigate this transformation, but also to shape Hexaware into a leading AI‑led services company that will help define the next generation of our industry.”
Ramakarthikeyan’s departure marks the end of a decade‑long tenure during which Hexaware expanded its service portfolio and invested heavily in digital transformation initiatives. His continued role as senior advisor is intended to preserve institutional knowledge and support the leadership handover.
The appointment comes amid a broader industry shift in which AI adoption is reshaping the IT services landscape. Firms are increasingly investing in AI talent, research, and partnerships to offer higher‑value services and differentiate themselves in a crowded market. Hexaware’s focus on scaling AI‑led services globally positions it to compete with other IT services providers that are integrating AI into their core offerings.
Under Jetley’s leadership, Hexaware plans to accelerate growth by expanding its AI service lines, deepening client relationships, and investing in talent and technology partnerships that support AI development. The company’s strategy aligns with its existing client base and its commitment to delivering AI‑powered solutions across multiple verticals.
The CEO transition is scheduled for October 28 2026. Until then, Hexaware will maintain its AI‑first approach, continue to develop generative AI and automation solutions, and work to help clients navigate the evolving AI landscape. The transition is expected to be smooth, with Ramakarthikeyan’s advisory role providing continuity.
