Eligibility and Application Process
The BuildAI TechPitchSprint is open to legally registered AI startups that are three years old or younger. Student‑led teams are excluded. Interested companies must submit an application through ITEL’s AI‑based Interactive Screening Application, completing a questionnaire and uploading a pitch deck. The deadline for submissions is 5 July 2026.
Event Format
The two‑day agenda is split into a Tech Hackathon on Day 1 and a PitchSprint on Day 2.
Day 1 – Tech Hackathon: A 10‑hour, in‑person challenge in which teams must develop a technical solution on the spot that tackles a problem in one of the six focus sectors. Day 2 – PitchSprint: The top 20 teams that advance from the hackathon present their business models and products to a jury of experts.

Incubation and Support
High‑performing startups will receive joint incubation from the ITEL Foundation and the IndiaAI Mission, with additional co‑incubation support from IIT Gandhinagar. The program offers:
Multi‑dimensional training modules and strategic scaling support. One‑on‑one expert mentoring. Direct facilitation and access to angel networks and venture capital funds. Continuous performance monitoring and strategic guidance. * Eligibility for a deployment grant of up to ₹20,00,000.
Cash Prizes and Travel Support
The event also offers a cash prize pool for the top five winners:
1st place – ₹2,00,000 2nd and 3rd places – ₹1,00,000 each * 4th and 5th places – ₹50,000 each
Shortlisted startups traveling to the event will receive reimbursement for travel tickets up to ₹10,000 per startup.
