Nairobi International Financial Centre Expands AI Partnership with ChainBLX to Launch Prompter Community
The move builds on earlier cooperation that helped ChainBLX’s SCC Fund SP set up operations in Kenya with the NIFC’s backing. By adding the Art Fund SP and the visual, no‑code AI orchestration platform FlowPrompt.ai, the two organisations aim to roll out a structured program that will host hackathons, deliver investment opportunities, and run capacity‑building workshops for African innovators, developers, entrepreneurs and creators.
FlowPrompt.ai is described as a “cutting‑edge visual no‑code AI orchestration platform.” Within the Prompter Community, the platform will enable participants to build practical solutions in artificial intelligence, creative technologies, digital infrastructure and sustainable development. Applications are open to Kenyan innovators and startups through the FlowPrompt.ai interface and will close on 1 September 2026. Those selected will receive free access to the platform, mentorship and exposure to potential investors.
The initiative dovetails with Kenya’s national agenda to accelerate digital transformation, create high‑value jobs, attract global investment and position Nairobi as a preferred destination for technology‑enabled enterprises looking to tap Africa’s growing markets. In a press release, NIFC CEO Daniel Mainda said the partnership represents a “strategic investment in African talent, ideas and innovation.” He added that a nation’s future competitiveness will hinge on its ability to attract capital, nurture talent and build ecosystems that can scale ideas worldwide.
ChainBLX CEO Karl Seelig echoed this sentiment, noting that Kenya offers a “forward‑looking investment environment” and that the company is excited to deepen its commitment through the Art Fund SP and FlowPrompt.ai. Seelig said the partnership would help build a vibrant ecosystem that empowers African innovators to solve global challenges.
The Prompter Community will culminate in a showcase of the top innovators and winning teams at Digital Davos in January 2027, a component of the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. Daniel Mainda will serve as one of the head judges for the hackathon series.
The NIFC, a state corporation under Kenya’s National Treasury, is tasked with positioning Nairobi as a leading international financial centre and a gateway for global investment into Kenya and Africa. The partnership with ChainBLX and the launch of the Prompter Community reinforce the NIFC’s goal of linking global capital with local opportunity.
In summary, the NIFC and ChainBLX partnership expands the scope of their collaboration to include a new AI‑powered community program that will nurture local talent and attract investment. Applications run until 1 September 2026, and the program’s results will be presented at Digital Davos in January 2027. The initiative is part of Kenya’s broader strategy to strengthen its financial and innovation ecosystems and to position Nairobi as a central hub for technology and capital in Africa.
