InnoPower.ai Launches Summer AI Training Sprint for Indianapolis Residents
The sprint delivers 16 hours of hands‑on instruction in two‑hour evening sessions, held three nights a week from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants finish with a final exam and a capstone project to earn certification. No prior technical background is required—only a commitment to attend.
Curriculum The curriculum is split into Foundation and Fluency. Foundation covers the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, its history, and the contexts in which it can be applied or may fail. Fluency hones skills in prompt engineering, steering AI output, managing context and length, spotting bias, applying responsible AI ethics, and deploying these techniques in real‑world business and professional scenarios. The capstone project requires participants to demonstrate applied capability before certification is awarded.
Target Audiences InnoPower.ai stresses that the program is designed for groups that have historically been left behind in technology adoption. Small‑business owners who cannot afford to fall further behind competitors, returning citizens reentering a job market that has changed, opportunity youth aged 16‑24 building futures in an AI‑shaped world, professionals navigating career transitions, and educators in under‑resourced schools are all explicitly mentioned as intended participants.
Past Impact According to the program announcement, InnoPower.ai previously trained 35 Master Trainers who earned CompTIA AI Literacy Master Trainer certifications. Each trainer then taught 20 community members, bringing 700 Indianapolis residents through structured AI training in four months. Among all program completers, 60 percent gained promotions or new employment, 34 percent launched new businesses, and 20 percent of existing businesses integrated AI into daily operations.
State Alignment The initiative aligns with Indiana’s statewide AI strategy, IN AI, launched by Governor Mike Braun and supported by the Indiana Corporate Partnership. InnoPower.ai stated that it has been building the same infrastructure for ten months and that the state’s formalized support now makes the goal of reaching every Hoosier who needs AI training a concrete roadmap.
Future Tracks Participants who finish Foundation and Fluency may enroll in Build and Deploy, the next two levels of the training system. These tracks cover AI automations, workflow design, and autonomous AI agents, moving users from operators to builders. At the highest level, InnoPower.ai describes a Knowledge Entrepreneur pathway, where individuals can create ventures, services, and community programs based on their expertise.
Master Trainer Track A select group of high‑performing participants can enroll in a 12‑hour Master Trainer Track. Those who complete it commit to training 25 or more people in their communities within six months, expanding the program’s reach.
Current Status Registration for the Foundation and Fluency tracks is open from June 16 to June 24. Classes begin July 1. Interested individuals can complete the registration form on InnoPower.ai’s website or contact the organization at info@innopower.ai.
The program represents a concrete effort to bring AI literacy to underserved populations in Indianapolis, aligning local training with statewide policy and demonstrating measurable outcomes in employment and entrepreneurship.
